| Job Description : | Our client is a successful footwear manufacturer with a global presence, who is currently looking for an experienced Footwear Product Manager. As a Footwear Product Manager you will: - Provide direction and guidance in creating and protecting a footwear plan that will increase the visibility of the brand in Europe by bridging the gap between Product and Marketing by creating understanding of the big seasonal product stories. - Be the first point of contact for the European product and merchandising team for daily operational issues. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Product line planning and Merchandising • Provides direction and guidance to the Europe product and merchandising team on creating a FW range that propels the Brand’s positioning in the European market. • Directs and manages the big picture product stories and link these with Marketing • Identifies the opportunities between product and Marketing and translate these into compelling sell in stories • Provides soundly based input pertaining to retail pricing strategies. • Works closely with marketing on briefing the support around some new brand driving programs. • Work closely with the retail and Internet group to identify product opportunities and collection strategies. Market Research • Analyzes product, consumer and competitive trends in the market by market research and analysis. • Spends time with consumers and shops in which represent the key markets. • Researches the Brand’s market place / researches the key markets in-depth to find out new opportunities. • Identifies regional product stories/needs in conjunction with the subsidiaries, retail, Internet and distributors • Participates in pre lines and Key Account meetings together with the sales department. Communication • Manage the communication flow between the different departments. • Keep the Marketing department in the loop of the big seasonal product initiatives. • Keep the relevant departments inside the Brand’s Europe office in the communication loop. So all departments can prepare their strategies and go forward targets. Staff Performance • Be the first point of contact and manage and motivate staff on daily operating basis. Expertise/Experience/Educational requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Fashion, Retail merchandising or related field. • Proven track record as product manager footwear in the European footwear industry. |
